Testimonials

"Thank you for making our legal walk both interesting and entertaining with all your wonderful stories." Trip Organiser, October 2012

"Your tour was excellent : knowledgeable, engaging, and hitting all of the points that we needed for the class.  It was fun to work with you!"  College Professor, September 2012

"It was great working with you and the delegate feedback was fabulous. All who took the trip were talking about all they had learnt for several days."  Event Organiser,  August 2012

Anne-Marie Fahy London Blue Badge Guide"What a great day we had! You did an absolutely marvellous job and the girls loved the trip. Thanks so much."  Teacher, North London Girls School, July 2012

"We wanted to say a very big thank you to you for a fantastic walk last evening. Not only did we all have a great time, we were all completely stunned that there were so many interesting sights to see not 5 minutes from our doorstep that none of us knew about!! We may even be tempted to stray from our desks at lunch time now to investigate further!!" Manager (Team building walk), Leading Accountancy Firm, May 2012

"Normally our journey home from a full day out is so quiet with the odd sounds of sleep.  Not yesterday, though, as our group members were full of chat about what they had seen and done! Many thanks for giving us such a superb day – we all thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Docklands, Canary Wharf, the Olympic site and parts of old Spitalfields.
Your knowledge and presentation skills made the day a special one.
"  Trip organiser, U3A, April 2012

"Thank you Anne-Marie for a fantastic tour, we really enjoyed it." Tom, January 2012

"What an enjoyable day we spent with you. It was instructive, fascinating and a wonderful experience. You have a great way of engaging and delivering information and making it so understandable." Margaret, on Olympic Walk, December 2011

"A very big thank you for an absolutely fascinating tour on Sunday. It was brilliant! Your choice of the Olympic site and the Brick Lane/Spitalfields area were an inspired combination of the new and the old. You covered so much ground (in miles and in fascinating facts) in just over 4 hours. You certainly gave us a new perspective on an area which we thought we knew a bit, and found we only knew a tiny fraction of its attraction. Sunday was the perfect day to go with all the vibrancy of the street markets complementing all that colourful street art." Jill, December 2011

"A very big thank you for a truly fantastic day out." Mike, December 2011

"Thank you for such a wonderful walk on Sunday, it opened my eyes well and truly to the hidden history and delights of East London. You are the most ‘wicked’ guide! Walk on!!" Litz, December 2011

"A great way to learn about street art and avante garde fashion in the East End. Many thanks."  Jenny,  October 2011

"This was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon with friends and family. We managed to pack in some history, some architecture, some fashion and some art - which is a great mix. I started out sceptical that 'street art' could properly be considered art but by the end of the afternoon I was completely won over. I will never look at walls and pavements in quite the same way again. Many thanks."  Trish,  October 2011

"I thought the walk quite fascinating and really enjoyed having my eyes opened to such a vibrant area of London, one I knew nothing about. Street Art now means something quite new and exciting to me. From now on I will be happily searching for little figures and shadows as I walk around. I loved those especially. Congratulations  to Anne-Marie for such an informative and enlightening tour."
Charlie, October 2011

"Thanks so much for yesterday, I loved it!"
Sue on Olympic walk  October 2011

"Thank you so much for such an interesting and informative walk today.  I thoroughly enjoyed it!"
Jackie on Olympic Walk, October 2011

"We joined Anne-Marie on her guided walk around the Olympic site and regeneration area. We had an age range from 8 to 90, and Anne-Marie set the pace perfectly and balanced her talk so that the children learnt as much as the adults! We are so pleased to have seen the progress of the Olympic venues, and would recommend all Londoners should make an effort to join such a tour to learn and see how this great event will change this part of our city. Who even knew there is a train called the "javelin" ?"
Jo,  October 2011

“Ann Marie was absolutely wonderful and a wealth of information. She included all the important highlights we wanted to see but also customized it for our three college age girls to include vintage shopping.”
Deborah, August 2011

“You have a knack of giving lots of information interspersed with some very interesting anecdotes, and combining the historic and bang-up-to-date which keeps teenagers interested! Thank you again.
Charlotte on Olympic Walk, August 2011

“It was such an amazing experience to be led around the Olympic Park by you and be given such interesting information which helps to consolidate one's belief in the Olympic ideal. .I feel hugely excited by it all !!”
Hannah on Olympic Park, August 2011

“We had the best afternoon ever – we will so do it again very soon.”
Jude on Olympic Park, August 2011

Chris on Olympic Park, August 2011

"I am writing to say how much we enjoyed your tour of Legal London.  We were fascinated by what we saw and had no idea that these wonderful buildings and gardens existed.  We were impressed by your knowledge and passion.
Irene, May 2011

I write on behalf of my wife and myself to thank you most sincerely for the wonderful guided walk last week .  By far it was the highlight of our day - so interesting. All the more it was thanks to your personal input."
Dennis,  May 2011

"Anne-Marie’s funky fashion walk delighted our enthusiastic group whose age range was 15 to over 60!  Excellent information and lots of fun too!"
Alex, April 2011

"I'm writing to you to thank you for the wonderful week we spent in London.  Your lovely style of telling about your city and such an interesting program gave us the best impressions of London we could ever wish to gain.  We appreciate so much that we could see the British capital not just as it's usually seen by tourists but as insider a little.  It was a very first time we had a personal guide on our side because we wanted to have some live communication in English besides excursions. Thank you very much for "Our London" feeling!"
Nikolay, April 2011

"We are a book group who usually meet in a restaurant which is in some way related to the book under discussion. On a number of occasions, where the books have had a London connection, we have asked Anne-Marie to design a guided walk which would give us a historical perspective to our discussions. For example for Andrea Levy's Long Song, we went on a guided walk of the Docklands and learnt about London's role in the slavery trade via the shipping of sugar from the West Indies. Anne-Marie painted a vivid history of the various docks, so much so that you could almost see and smell the molasses, rum and coffee being docked and stored in the vast warehouses. The journey took us through the decline of the docks due to new technologies like refrigeration, and onto its regeneration under Margaret Thatcher. Anne-Marie is so passionate about London, its secret and not-so secret history that it is almost impossible not to be drawn into her accounts of the past and the present. Highly recommended!"
Sheila, The Tuesday Book Group, March 2011

"I would be delighted to recommend Anne-Marie, who we worked with recently on a very high profile group.  She made sure that all the guests felt they were being treated as individuals and feedback after the walk around London was that it was like spending a day with a friend and that not only had they learned something new, but what they thought they already knew had had a new take on it making the whole experience both rewarding and enjoyable."
Mark Taylor, Head of Events, BI Worldwide, February 2011

"Thanks again for yesterday. It was superb and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learnt so much."
Teacher, Sixth Form College, December 2010

“I was recently asked whether I would be interested in going on a London Fashion walk around the Mayfair area.   I hesitated as I am a born Londoner and thought I knew everything there was to know about London shops.  How wrong could I be!  I learnt more about our heritage and royalty wandering around Saville Row than I had ever imagined and furthermore I had fun along the way!  I can highly recommend any of one of Anne-Marie’s walks .  She will find out about you, tailor her tours to her audience and make them highly amusing too!”
