Tour London: From Main Attractions To Hidden Gems
Welcome to London - The capital of England and one of the most diverse, multicultural and exciting cities in the world. There is so much going on in London; the history, the sights, the everyday scenes, the events, the exhibitions! In 2011, we had a fairy tale Royal Wedding, followed in 2012 by the celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and then the “happy and glorious” Olympics and Paralympics.
This is a great time to come to London, or if you already live in or near London, a wonderful opportunity to be part of it all!
Born and bred a Londoner, Anne-Marie worked for the London Fire Brigade before deciding to qualify as a London Blue Badge Guide. This was because of her passion for London and her wish to show both visitors and Londoners round this diverse and historical capital city. She has developed walks that reflect her particular interests of street art, culture and fashion.
Anne-Marie is also a City of London Guide and she holds the Olympic Endorsement for the 2012 sites.
Personalised Tours To Get The Most From London
Anne-Marie plans tours to meet the particular interests and timetable of her clients. This may be a coach or walking tour round some of the world famous sights of London, or visits to some of the lesser known and hidden gems of the city, or a more leisurely visit to one or more of the many museums and galleries.
Anne-Marie also offers tours that focus on the fun and vibrant side of the city: Fashion walks, shops, markets, street culture and street art; walks focusing on the Olympics and Paralympics and their legacy; visits to other sporting venues, theatres, restaurants, the cocktail hour; or visits to some of the villages and neighbourhoods that make up the capital. The aim is to present London with a touch of fun and humour and a little “quirkiness” thrown in and to talk about not only the history of city, but also what is happening right now.
Anne-Marie leads tours for small groups, families, larger parties, including school and young adult groups and children as well as for corporate events. She also guides in historic places outside London including Oxford, Windsor, Stonehenge, Bath, Salisbury, Canterbury, Stratford- Upon-Avon and Leeds Castle.
