Anne-Marie Fahy - Blue Badge Guide

Tour London: From Main Attractions To Hidden Gems

Welcome to London - the capital of England and one of the most diverse, multicultural and exciting cities in the world. There is so much going on in London; the history, the sights, the everyday scenes, the events, the exhibitions! It is not surprising that London was recently voted the best city in the world for its quality of life (PCW report 2016). Anne-Marie Fahy Blue Badge Guide

There is a fantastic array of events, shows and exhibitions taking place in London in 2017 . For art lovers, our National Gallery has major exhibitions on the Renaissance Masters: Sebastiano and Michaelanglo or bringing you right up to date with Chris Ofili weaving his magic into hand woven tapestry. The Tate Gallery hosts blockbusters on Modigliani and Giacometti and our very own national treasure, David Hockney. The National Portrait Gallery showcases special exhibitions on Picasso, Cezanne and Howard Hodgkins. The British Museum has a major exhibition called the American dream that traces the years of this super power. Plus for those who love their music, the V&A hosts the Mortal Remains of Pink Floyd and for those fashionistas out there Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion.

This is a great time to come to London, or if you already live in or near London, a wonderful opportunity to experience it all!

Born and bred a Londoner, Anne-Marie worked in Human Resources before deciding to qualify as a London Blue Badge Guide. This was because of her passion for London and her wish to show both visitors and Londoners round this diverse and historical capital city. She has developed walks that reflect her particular interests of history, art and street art, culture and fashion. Anne-Marie is also a City of London Guide and Westminster Guide and she holds the Olympic Endorsement for the 2012 sites.

Personalised Tours To Get The Most From London

Anne-Marie plans tours to meet the particular interests and timetable of her clients. This may be a coach or walking tour round some of the world famous sights of London, or visits to some of the lesser known and hidden gems of the city, or a more leisurely visit to one or more of the many museums and galleries.

Anne-Marie also offers tours that focus on the fun and vibrant side of the city: Fashion walks, shops, markets, street culture and street art; visits to sporting venues including the Olympic Park, theatres, restaurants, the cocktail hour; or visits to some of the villages and neighbourhoods that make up the capital. The aim is to present London with a touch of fun and humour and a little “quirkiness” thrown in and to talk about not only the history of city, but also what is happening right now.

Anne-Marie leads tours for small groups, families, larger parties, including school and young adult groups and children as well as for corporate events. She also guides in historic places outside London including Oxford, Windsor, Stonehenge, Bath, Salisbury, Canterbury, Stratford- Upon-Avon and Leeds Castle.

Anne-Marie will organise your tour to meet your timetable, your interests and your requirements so that you can get the most out of your time in London.
